This Fair Work Commission consolidated modern award incorporates all amendments up to and including 27 July 2018 (PR609376).
Pay rates change from 1 July each year, the rates in this guide apply from 01 July 2018.

Long Service Calculator
All workers covered by state awards or awards carrying the provisions of the NSW Long Service Act shall be entitled to the following:
- Entitlement to take long service leave after 10 years service
- Entitlement to take additional long service leave in 5 years intervals after the first period of 10 years
- Public Holidays are to be added to any leave entitlement when they fall within the period of the leave
- The provisions are retrospective to any leave entitlements taken in the future for leave accrued from April 1963
- Leave can be taken in a single period or in two periods if the entitlement is two months leave or less
- Leave can be taken in two or three separate periods if the entitlement exceeds two months and does not exceed 19½ weeks
- If an employee leaves his employment or employment is terminated and there is less than 5 years service, no entitlement is applicable
- On leaving employment or employment being terminated after 5 years service, but less than 10 years, there is entitlement to pro-rata long service leave ONLY for the following reasons:(a) For any reason other than serious or willful misconduct if any employer dismisses an employee(b) For the reason of illness, incapacity or domestic or other pressing necessity on account of the employee
- Employees are entitled to pro-rata long service leave for any reason on termination after 10 years service.
